Welcome to Oak Leaf Dalmatians previously known as Maple Oak Dalmatians. As our journey has grown and improved, so has our name. The oak leaf represents warmth and home, the heart of what we believe in when raising our Dalmatians.
Where it al began...
Our love for this breed began with two very special liver-spotted Dalmatians: Oakley and Maple.
Oakley’s name was inspired by the oak tree, a symbol of endurance, while Maple’s name was inspired by the maple tree, known for its beauty and warmth. Together, their names shaped not only our kennel’s identity but also our brand colors, earthy browns and warm oranges, combining family and warmth.
We like to think of our kennel as a “family tree” each new puppy is a cherished branch extending our roots. Future members of our pack will also carry on this tradition with names inspired by trees, keeping our “family tree” growing strong.
At Oak Leaf Dalmatians, our puppies are raised in a loving, farm-style environment where they’re surrounded by everyday life, children, other dogs, farm animals, and the sounds of everyday life.
We focus on health, temperament, and socialization from the very first days, ensuring each puppy grows into a happy, confident companion ready to join their forever family.

Oakley is our resident adrenaline junkie and all-around jock. Whether it’s racing across the yard to see who’s faster, a spirited game of fetch, or anything that gets his heart racing, Oakley is always in it for the thrill. He comes from a strong Spanish lineage, and his athletic energy is matched only by his heart. Despite his high-octane personality, Oakley has an incredibly soft side, gentle and affectionate with Maple, other animals, and of course, his puppies.
Our Breeding Philosophy
At Oakleaf Dalmatians, breeding is about more than producing puppies, it’s about nurturing healthy, happy, and well-balanced companions who bring joy to their families. Every pairing is carefully planned, taking into consideration temperament, health, and the compatibility of our dogs, so that each litter reflects our commitment to quality and care.
We follow the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) breeding standards, ensuring that our dogs meet the breed’s ideal physical and temperamental traits. By adhering to these standards, we prioritize health, structure, temperament, and overall well-being above all else.
Our female dogs are given ample rest between litters, with at least one skipped heat to allow their bodies to fully recover. Before every planned breeding, both male and female are brought to their peak physical condition and mental readiness, ensuring a strong, happy foundation for the next generation.
From birth to the day they go to their forever homes, our puppies are raised with love, attention, and careful socialization. We view every pup as a future family member, and our goal is to support their growth into confident, loving, and well-adjusted companions.
